Hello everybody,

players, and in particular council members, are already aware of an issue we have in Renaissance Kingdoms: some counties have a very low population, which makes them difficult to manage. The game admins have created too many counties: Renaissance Kingdoms has 3 kingdoms for intance, this is the only version of the game in this situation.

We have several solutions: we could for instance close 1 country (Ireland Twisted Evil ), but I am not sure it would be the best solution. We are all thinking of closing one or 2 counties in each kingdom, so that players population is more concentrated in each country. This solution would have the advantage to keep the institutions and the RP in each country alive.

For instance, in Scottland we could close Glasgow (county with less population) and transfer the players to the other 2 scottish counties.

In Ireland, we would close Munster (and transfer...). Munster has tons of debts and very low population.

In England, we would close Cornwall which has a very low population and which is a little outlying. We would as well close Chester (a too small county).

We could close other counties too (Stafford or Worcester), but this would cut the map into several regions, because these counties are central. So that journeys would be longer.

What do you think about it?

Here is the final statement:

We have 2 solutions:
- either I close the counties I have told first. So Munster, Ayr and some small english counties.
- or players organize themselves and propose clever solutions. Knowing that there will be closed towns ("more ads" , "fix the bugs" or "reset the debts" are no solutions on this population issue). They can chose which towns have to be closed, mayors organizing the closure. This is going to be done in Munster: Inis' mayor contacted us for closing his town. We answered and gave the steps but we are waiting for his final answer.

Closing a town does not mean moving a mine and deleting nodes. Closing a town means: the node where the town is becomes a simple node and inhabitants are resettled in other towns WITHIN the county, according to their wishes.

So mayors, council members and inhabitants can locally think on this and contact us through the FAQ contact form when they have a proposition. Proposition would look like: "we wish to close the town X in our county for this and that reason, here is the list of the inhabitants and where they would like to be moved (within the county), please tell us when it's done".
Some things must be taken care of: for instance, grants have to be returned to the towns.

We hope players chose solution 2 =)

Schaut man sich die Bevölkerungszahlen der betroffenen Gemeinden an, könnte man vermuten, daß es einer Provinz im Reich bald ähnlich ergehen könnte. Ob das sinnvoll wäre?
